The walk starts at the medieval bridge at Puy Chalard, where you can park at the side of the road and access the site below. There is also a picnic area with a table by the River Gosne.
(S/E) Cross the bridge and take the path leading uphill on the left, walk past a house with a swimming pool and turn left, then after 30 m take the path to the right. When you reach a fork, take the path on the right that leads downhill.
(1) Continue right along the sunken path lined with dry stone walls and cross a stretch of woodland. Stay on the path and do not take the paths leading off to the right. At a fork, turn left to reach a local road 50 metres ahead.
(2) Follow the road to the right.
(3) At the sign for “Dolmen 500 m”, turn left, pass by an old “plank bridge” over the Ruisseau de la Chapelle, which is on your left, then follow the path uphill to the dolmen.
(4) Continue along the path to the junction and turn right to stay on a wide track for about 120 m.
(5) Go straight on along the path that descends towards the woods. You are on the old Roman road. At the fork, continue to the right until you reach the D3.
(6) Turn right, then immediately left onto the path, follow the edge of the wetland to reach a meadow.
(7) Here you can enjoy a beautiful view typical of the Creuse region, with the River Gosne below. Continue along the path; at the junction, carry straight on and head back up to the village road, which you follow to the left until you reach the entrance to Nouallaguet. On the left, under the trees by the roadside, you can see an old fountain.
(8) Walk through the hamlet and, at the end, take the small path on the left to reach a stone cross at the junction with the village road.
(9) Turn right then left at the junction, towards Puy Chalard. Just past the houses, you can see a huge "de Sully" lime tree, over 500 years old.
(10) Continue along the road to reach the medieval bridge (S/E).
