Description of the walk

Park your car at Coverack car park (in front of the cove going down the B3294) or at the Charity car park above.

(S/E) Follow the main road heading to the village and the harbour along this nice cove. Go past Paris Hotel and The Lifeboat House until you reach the small car park next to Dolor Point.

(1) Turn right onto the path behind Paris Hotel next to the cliff edge, climb the stairs and go past the play area on your left leading to the road. Bear left, go straight for 200 metres leaving the road which bends right until a junction signpost.

(2) Bear left to the coastal path "Kennack Sands 4 1/2m", go straight at the fork (two yellows arrows) heading to Chynhalls Point you can catch sight of. At the next junction ignore "Kennack Sands 4 1/2m" signpost straight but turn left if you want to admire views from Chynhalls Point for a quick way and return. Go back to this junction and this time, turn left towards "Kennack Sands 4 1/2m".

(3) Then, ignore the path which goes down to Porthbeer Cove below, you need to walk along the stone wall and climb towards the footbridge. The path leads to another footbridge and finally meets other paths. Bear right towards "Coverack 1m, Sculpture Park 1/4m" signpost. Go straight at the next fork avoiding private property on the left before you join The Terence Coventry Sculpture Park (free to discover, enjoy it!).

(4) Continue crossing a white path next to the garden entering woods for 200 metres, then ignore the stile and a public footpath on your left but go straight crossing a small stream until you reach Chynhalls Park gate. Bear right heading to the road. Walk the road to the left overlooking Coverack and Dolor Point, go past a beautiful thatched-roof house and immediately bear right to the descending path.

(2) Go past the first junction you took at the beginning of the walk and turn left to the ascend track next to Guthens house (a bit hidden, pay attention!). This track leads to the road next to Hill Crest house (white and blue). Go down the road and turn left to the footpath when this road bends sharply. Walk along the lovely Winifred Cottage and Sandpiper House until you reach the main road. Turn left onto this familiar road you used at the beginning which leads to your car.(S/E)
