Description of the walk

Start: Park in the small roadside car park.
The trail is waymarked with blue posts.

(S/E) Set off along the road and quickly cross to the other side of the fence through the gate. Continue along the well-marked path until you reach a fork in the road.

(1) Turn right. The path descends into a small valley and rises again on the other side, before rising gently to offer fine views. Reach a high point marked by a cairn.

(2) At the cairn, carry on on the path which descends towards the lake. Then change direction.

(3) At a kind of junction, turn right to follow the waymarkers. Continue this way until you reach trees.

(4) Turn sharp left up a kind of embankment; at the top, you'll see the waymarkers and the more obvious path through the grass. Follow this good path to a junction.

(5) Turn left to reach the fork of the loop a little further on.

(1) Continue along the path to reach the starting point. (S/E)
