This hike near Givors winds through the many wooded valleys and rural hills of the south-eastern Pilat region. It begins by passing through the Grand Malval valley and climbs up to the Croix de Crème, then the Croix du Trêve, to cross the Petit Malval valley. It climbs to the Croix de Longes after passing through the village of the same name, then crosses the successive valleys of the Ruty, the Mézerin, the Jannoray and the Mézerin once more to return to the village of Trèves.
