Departure from Sciecq (Deux-Sèvres)
You can admire the Romanesque church at Sciecq before crossing the Sèvre Niortaise on a cable ferry. You will then see Mursay Castle, where Françoise d’Aubigné was brought up, before continuing along a shaded path overlooking the river. In the village of Surimeau, you’ll cross the Sèvre again at the Moulin d’Âne and, via the Chemin des Pêcheurs between the Sèvre and the Bois des Touches, you’ll reach the Moulin de Compéré before heading up towards Chantemerle and returning to the starting point.
