The trail starts at the Chasseradès bridge in the village center, between the "Service Gourmand" store and the "Relais de Modestine" gite.
After 50m, turn left into the small road leading up to the Chasseradès church, which you climb until you reach it. When your back is to the church, take the small road in front of you; you'll soon pass the cemetery on your left. Continue along this narrow road towards Mirandol, leaving the La Sogne district on your left. At a farmhouse on your right, you can see the railway line that has approached your road on the left-hand side. From here, you descend the small, winding road; at the bottom, keep to the left to pass under the D6 bridge through the village of Mirandol.
(1) On your left, you can see the Mirandol railway viaduct, and take this direction to pass under the viaduct. 100m further on, the road begins to climb on your right. 200m further on, the GR® indicates that you should take the path on your right (not marked on the map). Disregard it; in case of rain, this path is steep and can be very slippery. Continue along the road for another 200m (leaving the road to your left) and take the path to your right; after 100m, it bends to the right and leads you back to a crossroads where you find the GR® coming from your right.
(2) Continue ahead. After 2 wide S-shaped curves, your path runs alongside the railroad after passing over the viaduct. Continue along the railroad to the hamlet of l'Estampe; your path joins another path coming from the left just before descending to the road (D120) which runs through the village below. There's a small sign pointing to a fountain 50m ahead on the right, but you take the road to the left, avoiding the path that climbs directly to your left. You then take the D120, leaving again the track on your left.
(3) After 800m uphill from the village exit on the D120, as you approach the forest, you'll find a track on your right (near a small air vent of a buried water catchment which forms the corner between the road and the track). Turn right onto this path and climb between meadows. As you approach the wood, at a Y-junction, keep to the left-hand branch which takes you straight up into the forest. As you go up, you come across 2 paths which you leave on your right, then a path which comes to your left at the start of a hairpin bend. Ignore this path too, and take the start of the bend, which turns first to the right, leaving again the path which arrives on your right after the bend has turned completely to the left; shortly afterwards you come to the D120, which you take again to the right and climb for about 1.2km, ignoring the paths on both your left and right; you reach a relatively open space in the middle of the forest; you are at an altitude of 1,413m and notice a stone stele on your left between 2 paths which turn to your left.
(4) Take the second path on your left. You'll go back down into the forest on this path for about 2km, again leaving 2 paths on your right and 3 paths on your left. You come to a path (poorly signposted) which takes an acute angle on your right.
(5) 200m further on, you pass the ruins of the Serreméjean; immediately after at the Y-intersection, you keep to the left and, 200m further on, pass over a stream. You then begin the ascent via a double switchback; on the second switchback, keep to the right, ignoring the path coming up from the left. The path rises slowly for 1km, following the contour (you will have left the first path coming from the left). A little further on, you come to a new switchback which leads you to climb more sharply to the left at an acute angle (you have ignored the path that went in front of you in the switchback); you also ignore the path that goes very quickly to your right. You continue to climb through the forest for another 800m (you will have continued ahead of you at a crossroads) and reach the summit (altitude 1,359m) at a once again open space.
(6) You're now at the summit of the Valat de Chalsadès (valat = valley in Occitan, so here the valley of the Chalsadès stream) and you're about to head back downhill, not on the main path but on a narrower one that angles at 45° between the path in front of you and the one coming from your right. Your path immediately enters a coniferous forest, following a small stream (you're actually at the source of the river Lot). The path leaves the stream and curves to the left, then after 500m, you leave the main path at a Y-junction to take the path to the right. 200m further down, you come across another path which you take to the right, following the contour line; you leave a small path on your right and end up in a grassy area wedged between forests; you are once again at the start of the small Lot valley.
(7) Take a sharp left and continue down the valley along the edge of the forest and grassland. Follow the emerging river downhill for about 1.6km, ignoring the paths that go up on your left. After a last path on your left, yours passes over first the Lot and then another stream (the Giraldès) which flows into it. Immediately afterwards, you come to a Y-intersection and take the left-hand branch up into the forest on the other side of the valley; after the wood, a meadow opens up again on your right.
(8) You come to another track which you take to the right; you're on the edge of the forest, with the meadow on your right and the forest on your left. 500m further on, at an inverted crow's-foot where you have a superb, unobstructed view, you come to a small road which you take to the left. You soon come to the hamlet Les Alpiers, which you cross by following the road.
(9) In the middle of the hamlet, the road bends at right-angles to the left; you take this direction between two houses, ignoring the street (path) which runs opposite you. Immediately afterwards, you take the small road which descends to the right and gradually becomes a track after the last houses. Follow this road for about 600m, ignoring the farm tracks on either side, until you reach a Y-intersection. Take the left-hand branch, ignoring the track immediately to your left, and continue for just under 1km. After passing through a wood, you come to a small rocky promontory 200m below, which you skirt and descend to the right (easier than the left). You end up on the D901 at the entrance to Le Bleymard.
(10) Take the D901 to the right (towards Bagnoles-les-Bains and Mende); at the bend after the mini-market on your right, you come to a crossroads where you take the small road on the left opposite the hotel-restaurant (this is the D20, towards Pont-de-Montvert - Town center). Cross the bridge over the Lot and you'll come to a crow's-foot at the level of a school; take the middle branch which is the Rue Principale. When you reach the small Place de la Poste 300m further on, turn left and you'll see the church, the finishing point of this tour (E).
