The circular route starts from the village of Sonkeng, 10 minutes by motorbike from the town of Fokoué, which is also accessible by 4x4 (at least in the dry season).
The trail is well marked and follows part of the road (equivalent to a forest track) through the villages.
The sacred site just below the Bani summit is not of particular interest, but it is by this name that the villagers refer to this mountain, rather than Mont Bani (which is the highest point with the telecom antenna).
At the end, at (2), an additional circular loop is possible to climb the second summit (at 1902m). The view towards Mount Nyang (large cliff) opposite is magnificent.
