Description of the walk

Park in one of the Marinedda car parks at the bottom of Issola Rossa, heading towards Canneddi and Mount Tinari.

(S/E) With your back to the sea, head towards the junction. Turn left onto the road towards Canneddi until you reach the sports grounds. Continue for about a hundred metres.

(1) Take the path on the left and head towards Canneddi Beach.

(2) Take the coastal path towards the pine forest and follow the coastline along the path that climbs towards the headland. Stay as close to the sea as possible.

(3) Turn right to reach the headland known as Punta li Canneddi.

(4) Turn back.

(3) Continue the circular coastal loop, heading down towards the tiny Cala Falza beach.

(5) Continue along the coastal path to Marinedda Beach and return to the car park (S/E).

This short walk is very scenic and leads to quiet, picturesque spots for a swim.
Perfect for children, although you do need to keep a close eye on them in places along the route (risk of falls, cacti and... jellyfish: our little one wasn’t so lucky, but it makes for some memories ). There is little shade (so make sure you bring water and appropriate sun protection).

A lovely walk, easy to get to, but the start of the route isn’t great.
We couldn’t find the start of the path, which was hidden away in a housing estate. So we followed the path/road leading to Canneddi beach and turned off very quickly to avoid it right to the end.
Afterwards, there were lovely views of the sea and the coast.

A walk taken in April with three children aged between 5 and 13. An easy route to follow and magnificent views;
No particular difficulties, even for the youngest.

A beautiful route with breathtaking scenery.
You need to be careful not to stray from the path, as some side tracks have appeared over time due to heavy use. Nothing too serious, but it can make the route longer (which was the case for us). Access to Beach No. 4, as described in the guide, seems a bit dangerous for children.
Thank you for this lovely route.

A hike undertaken in mid-September 2023. Sardinia was still experiencing very high temperatures, which made the final climb and the walk at the end of the route particularly challenging. Apart from this issue caused by the heat, the views are stunning along a magnificent coastline. A swim at Tinnari beach is a must. This hike is best undertaken when the temperature does not exceed 25 degrees.
