The starting point is at the old water tower, which has been converted into an art exhibition hall, at the eastern end of Place Séraucourt (free parking).
(S/E) From the water tower, turn right down Rue Albert Hervet. At the three-way junction, turn right towards Stade Alfred Depège and continue for about 40 metres.
(1) Turn right onto Rue Jean Bouin and continue to the T-junction.
(2) Turn left onto Rue Vieil Castel, then right onto Rue Henri Selllier until you reach the T-junction.
(3) Keep left onto Allée René Ménard until you reach the River Auron, which you will follow on your left until the next street (Rue Edmond Jongleux).
(4) Turn left to cross the two bridges and reach "la Trouée Verte".
(5) Take the cycle path on the left, heading south. Go through the tunnel under Boulevard de l'Industrie and continue to the next intersection (Rue Marcel Paul) with a car garage opposite you on the right and a roundabout on the left.
(6) Cross carefully and continue straight ahead on the cycle path towards Lac d'Auron. Do not cross the bridge at the spillway north of the lake, but continue along the western shore. Carefully take the narrow footbridge over the river "La Rampenne", paying attention to pedestrians.
(7) Continue until you come to a fork to the right, which you will take until you reach the intersection with a cross road (Route de Lazenay).
(8) Cross it carefully and continue along the Ancien Canal de Berry cycle path towards Plaimpied-Givaudins.
(9) Take the tunnel under the Bourges ring road and continue straight ahead on the cycle path until you reach a wash house on your right and the entrance to the village of Plaimpied.
(10) Turn right (Rue des Ponts), go straight up before turning left at the cross street (Rue de l'Abbaye). Go past the church on your left and continue for another 80 metres.
(11) Turn right onto Rue de la Vallée Caillon, towards Senneçay, and continue on the D46. Pass the stadium, enter the forest and arrive at a three-way junction.
(12) Follow the D217 to the right towards Lissay-Lochy. Cross the bridge over the A71 and join the junction with the D34.
(13) Continue straight ahead, cross the village of Lissay-Lochy and reach the intersection with the D2144.
(14) Cross it carefully and take the small road opposite to reach the farm at Les Verrières.
(15) Leave it on your right and continue for 1.6 km along the grassy path, which turns left to join a road (D73).
(16) Cross it carefully and continue left for 1.1 km until you reach a four-way intersection.
(17) Turn right onto the D28 towards Saint-Caprais. Continue for 3.2 km until you reach a fork at the edge of a wood.
(18) Turn right towards Pouplin and Valencin and follow the road to the junction with the D103.
(19) Turn right towards Le Subdray, pass "Le Tronçay" on your right and continue on the D103 until you reach the entrance to Le Subdray.
(20) Leave the D103 and continue carefully opposite (Rue Louis Nerault) until you reach Place de l'Église.
(21) Continue straight ahead (Chemin du Grenouillat) and take thesecond street on the left.
(22) Turn left onto Chemin du Grenouillat, then continue along Chemin de Bel Air until you reach a roundabout.
(23) Continue left onto Allée des Charmes until you reach the roundabout.
(24) Take the third exit. Pass under the dual carriageway, then quickly turn left towards Morthommiers.
(25) Carefully cross the level crossing and continue until you enter Morthomiers.
(26) Drive through the village until you reach the town hall and school on your right.
(27) Turn right onto the D135 towards Bourges and La Chapelle Saint-Ursin and continue to the junction with the D16.
(28) Carefully turn right (Route de Villeneuve), a fairly busy road, towards La Chapelle.
(29) Carefully cross the level crossing and pass under the high-voltage power line.
(30) Immediately afterwards, carefully move over to the left to follow the D16 (Avenue Louis Billant) towards the village of La Chapelle Saint-Ursin, then take the4th street on the left, opposite No. 47, towards the Étang de la Grenouille.
(31) Carefully cross the level crossing, turn left and stay on the tarmac local road.
(32) Turn right to pass successively "la Grenouille", "Boutilly" and "le Bois des Granges" to reach the intersection with the D23.
(33) Cross it carefully and continue along the D150 towards Pont-Vert to reach the Canal de Berry.
(34) Take the cycle path on the right that runs alongside it and follow it until you pass under the Bourges ring road and reach Le Moulin Batard.
(35) Take the street on the right, then right again at the cross street (Chemin de Vouzay) and join the intersection just after a radio relay station (D23 - Rue Louis Mallet).
(36) Cross it carefully and turn left onto the cycle path towards the centre of Bourges. Continue straight ahead until you reach the second set of traffic lights.
(37) Turn left onto Rue Jean-Jacques Rousseau, cross the bridge over the Auron and continue straight ahead, going up Rue d'Auron to the end.
(38) Turn left (Rue des Armuriers), pass the Hôtel d'Angleterre on your left and continue to Rue Moyenne.
(39) Turn right and continue until you pass the Town Hall on your left.
(40) Turn right at the roundabout and carefully take Esplanade Marceau on the right until you reach the next roundabout. Carefully turn left and head to Place Séraucourt at the foot of the water tower (S/E).
