Start near the village hall on Rue de la Mare (Long: 0.86122° Lat: 49.15547°).
(S/E) Set off along Rue de la Mare, turn right onto Rue du Pont and cross over the greenway.
(1) At the end of the street, turn left onto a path that goes downhill, then left again immediately. As you leave the forest, continue along the path, keeping a large field on your right.
(2) Cross the D30 road with care and continue straight ahead until you reach the first underpass beneath the cycle path.
(3) Go under the greenway bridge and immediately turn left onto a path that climbs shortly afterwards. As you leave the forest, continue along the path to the T-junction.
(4) Turn right towards the forest and pass close to the Mare du Nid de Grue (map). Enter the forest and ignore the two paths on the right.
(5) Turn right onto a wide path. At the bottom of a descent, turn left to reach the foot of a ruined house (Le Clos Tillard).
(6) Take care when crossing the greenway near the ruined house. Head straight ahead then turn left, following the greenway whilst veering off to make a wide left-hand bend.
(7) After the left-hand bend, you will see a bridge over the greenway. Take the path on the right which climbs parallel to the greenway, then turns sharply right to reach a crossroads. Continue straight ahead until the end.
(8) Turn almost around by taking the path on the right and follow this path to a T-junction.
(9) Turn left to reach the plain, passing in front of the Bosc farm.
(10) Watch out for potholes on this wide grassy track leading to the pylons.
(11) Take care when you reach the D39 road; turn right for 100 m, then take the path on the left towards a large oak tree in the distance.
(12) Pass the “Les Trois Cantons” signpost, then turn onto the first path on the right towards the hamlet of Beaufour.
(13) At the four-way junction, turn right onto Rue de Fosse Marie ( take care) as you cross the D39 road and continue straight ahead along the plain to re-enter the forest.
(14) After a short climb, turn left to reach the road leading straight to the Château du Champ de Bataille.
(15) At the foot of the château, take the first road on the right for about ten metres before turning left into the woods onto a small path that leads to a tarmac road. Continue straight ahead and turn left at the first junction to reach the road in front of the château grounds.
Turn right, then immediately left onto the path leading to the clubhouse. Continue along this path as it descends into the valley. After a right-hand bend as you leave the woods, take the path on the left which climbs back up through the woods and joins the end of a road.
(1) Continue straight on along the same route as on the way out to reach the bridge over the greenway, then head to the village hall (S/E).
