Description of the route

Park in the car park at Place du Marché d’Erquy.

(S/E) Leave the car park and turn left, heading north.

(1) At the roundabout, carry on straight ahead, following the road (Rue Foch).

(2) At the roundabout, take the third exit and carry on straight ahead along Rue de Tu Es Roc, then along Rue Hamel.

(3) At the Fork in the road, turn left; this turn is almost a U-turn. Then continue straight on along Rue du Four à Boulets.

(4) After rounding the bend to the right and halfway along the long straight stretch (there’s a small car park on the left by the roadside with space for 4 or 5 cars), drive back and forth to enjoy the view of the Lacs Bleus.

(4) Carry on along the road for about 250 metres.

(5) There is a track on the right – it’s easy to spot – turn off the road onto it and carry on straight ahead until you reach Rue de Plaine Garrenne.

(6) Ignore the street and turn sharply left. Stay on the main track, which ends at a crossroad.

(7) Turn right and follow the road to the next junction. When you reach it, take the track on the left and follow the Côte du Haut-Portuais, with a campsite on your right.

(8) At the bend in this track, once again, take thesecond track on the left that leads towards the sea. This one is easy to spot.

(9) When you reach the bay, turn right and follow the path that runs along the beach towards the east.

(10) Where the path meets the access road to the car park, a short walk along the beach allows you to admire the sea. On your return, take Avenue de Lanruen again. Cross Rue de la Mare des Noés and continue along Rue des Cailles.

(11) Turn left twice in quick succession and follow Rue de la Fosse Eyrand, heading north.

(12) Once you reach the water’s edge again, take the track on the right, heading east. Cross the access road to a car park.

(13) Head left and walk to and from the Pointe de Champ du Port. Back at the car park, take Rue Saint-Michel, heading south.

(14) At the junction, turn right onto Rue des Prés Veneux, heading west. Then take the first left and then the first right onto Rue de Longchamp. Continue along Rue Saint-Michel, then turn right straight away onto Rue des Écoles.

(15) At the junction with Rue des Moulins, turn right and continue straight on for a long stretch until you reach the Stop sign. Cross the road and carry on straight ahead along Rue des Tennis.

(16) At the junction, turn left onto Rue de la Pouillouse heading south until you reach the end. Then turn right (all directions) and, at the ‘No Entry’ sign, turn right onto Rue de l’Armor. At the Stop sign, first turn right then left, and you’ll come back to the roundabout you passed on the way there.

(1) Turn left towards the south to return to the market car park (S/E).
