(S/E) From the Tourist Office, turn left onto Le Courreau. Go straight on, then turn right under the small arch of the covered passageway. Turn into the first street on the right (Bonne Rue), until you reach Place de l'Esplan.
(1) Turn left, going against the one-way flow. Go down the left-hand side twice until you reach Place des Arts, then turn right towards Place du Marché.
(2) Turn left twice onto Grand Rue and continue straight on until you reach Rue Notre-Dame. Turn right and go under the covered passageway.
(3) Take the short downhill stretch on the right, follow the walls and pass in front of the medieval gate of the Grande Fontaine.
(4) Cross at the pedestrian crossing in front of the restaurant l’Entre 2. At the corner of the restaurant, take Avenue Charles Chausy opposite until you reach the pedestrian crossing. Turn right onto the footpath until you reach the road, cross it and continue towards the playground/fitness area. Continue straight ahead, then turn right into the alley and right again (Passage Alphonse Daudet). Take Passage Resseguin on the left until you reach the road. Turn right, then at the roundabout, cross to the left and walk along the walls.
At the end, turn into the small passage on the left, then left again and walk up to the square. Continue to Place du Marché and, at the top, turn left towards the town hall. Go down the steps on the left (you can avoid this: see practical information 1) and continue straight on to the cathedral.
(5) Turn right just after this, then follow the railings to the left of the central reservation until you reach Rue de l’Hôpital, then take the alleyway on the right. Turn immediately left into Rue Saint-Estève. On the right, go up the stairs (you can avoid this: see practical information 2) and go down Rue de l’Evêché on the right. Turn left into Rue du Serf, then left into the passageway, until you reach Rue Montant au Château. Just before the wash house, turn left into Rue d’Aiguebelle and walk down to the square. Turn left in front of the fountain and return to the starting point (S/E).
