Description of the walk

The starting point is about a 30-minute drive from West Yellowstone. To access the car park, turn left (from West Yellowstone) at the sign for Bacon Rind onto a 300-metre-long track. There is parking at the start of the hike, at the end of the track.

(S/E) With your back to the car park, follow the only trail at the bottom of the valley.

(1) After crossing the Yellowstone National Park boundary (clearly marked), the trail climbs gradually and leaves the valley floor.

(2) Turn around when you feel like it to return to the car park (S/E).
