(S) From the Angel of the North, cross Durham Road using the pedestrian crossing and turn right.
(1) Turn left into the narrow lane by the sign for Eighton Lodge Care Home, follow this path bearing right until you emerge on a wider road, follow this to the end. Cross the road (Long Bank, B1296) and take the path straight opposite between the fields, this will bend to the left.
(2) Turn right staying on the narrower path heading in a southerly direction. Follow this path alongside the A1 sliproad until it meets the Bowes Railway Path.
(3) Turn right and walk underneath the A1 and Long Bank. This track is part of the Bowes Railway Path and the Tyne and Wear Heritage Way as well as the Angel's Way, look out for the different markers.Continue walking ina southwesterly direction, there will be houses on your left. You will then pass under Lamesley Road, a railway bridge, a road bridge and a footbridge before crossing the River Team.
(4) You will emerge from the wooded area onto Greenford Lane, Cross the road and continue following the track at the other side towards Kibblesworth.
(5) When you reach the first houses in Kibblesworth, turn left down Clarty Lane and continue walking in a southerly direction until you reach Beggardene Wood, continue crossing the stream. The path will then bear right in a southwesterly direction along the edge of the fieldzx then turn south again
(6) Walk past Riding Farm holiday cottages and onton Riding Lane. Just around the bend, turn left onto a track crossing the stile. Follow the path along the edge of the field. When you reach the wooded area follow the path to the left around the edge of the wooded area. You will cross the River Team again and continue following the path alongside the river in a southwesterly direction. The path then turns southwards over a stile and across a field.
(7) At the far side of the field, cross the stile onto Baytree Terrace and turn right. Oass the junction and take the track opposite over another stile. This is waymarked the Angel's Way. There are a number of paths leading off to Urpeth Burn, keep to the left-hand path.
(8) The path will end at a gap in the fence, you will see a bridge in front of you over the C2C cycle route, turn right before the bridge and join the cycle route heading in a westerly direction.
(9) You will pass under Station Road and then take the right fork in the path, this will then turn north. When you reach the access road after a short distance, turn left and cross the road into Eden Place Picnic Area (E)
