Description of the walk

Parking at Place de la Victoire in Viviez-Bourg.

This heritage trail is fully signposted, with information panels dotted along the route.

(S/E) Pass in front of the town hall, turn right onto Avenue Paul Ramadier, then right again onto Avenue Jean-Jaurès. Continue until you reach Rue du 4 Septembre on the left.

(1) Cross Avenue Jean-Jaurès, take Rue du 4 Septembre on the left for about 50 metres. Turn left into Rue Traversière, then left again into Rue de la Paix. You will arrive at the banks of the Riou Viou. Follow it to the right via Rue des Lavoirs until you reach Rue du Moulin.

(2) Cross the river for a virtual tour of the Moulin du Barry-haut museum on the Riou-Viou. Retrace your steps and continue opposite along Rue du Moulin, then turn right onto Rue de la République (castle on your right). Pass the church on your right and you will come to a crossroads with paths, a road and steps.

(3) Turn left and continue until you reach a path on the left.

(4) Take the small path that climbs up to the far left of the road, then continue along the road that leads to the Bellevue housing estate until you reach the viewpoint and continue down Rue des Chalets. Return to the previous crossroads.

(4) Take the stairs on the left which lead to Impasse des Pourtous, which opens onto Avenue Jean-Jaurès (D5). Follow it to the left until you reach Square Jean-Louis Denoit.

(5) Turn around and take Avenue Paul Ramadier, opposite and parallel to the railway tracks. At the town hall, turn right to reach Place de la Victoire (S/E).
