Description of the walk

Start out from the car park behind the cemetery in Noisy-sur-Ecole.

(S/E) With the cemetery on your right, turn left (north-northeast) along Chemin de la Plaine de Jean des Vignes.

(1) After about 200m, at the crossing, take the bridleway on the right. The bridleway runs more or less parallel to the Chemin de la Plaine de Jean des Vignes, which it joins again after about 2km, at the foot of Rocher de Jean des Vignes.

(2) Turn immediately right onto Chemin du Rocher des Potets. The path heads east and then bears southeast further along.

(3) Cross straight over the Ancien Chemin de Melun and continue southeast.

(4) At the next junction, join the GR1. Turn right (southwest) onto the Chemin du Rocher Fin, and follow the red and white waymarks of the GR1, ignoring any paths off to either side. Just after a bend to the left, ignore a path from the right and continue southwest.

(5) Turn right (southwest) along Chemin de la Mée. Ignore the paths off to the left and keep going until you reach the junction with the Sentier des 25 Bosses (it is much narrower, so be careful not to miss the crossing). Look out for a red two-directional arrow.

(6) Leave the GR and turn right down the path, which is waymarked in red. At a crossing turn left and climb up the east slope of Rocher Guichot. Come back down on the north slope. At the T-junction turn left and you will immediately reach the junction Carrefour des Longs Réages.

(7) At the junction, take the path to the right at a right angle (north-northwest), still following the red waymarks. The path makes a series of bends to the left-right-left, and then climbs up Roche aux Sabots

(8). Ignore the path with red waymarks, which bears off to the right (north), and begin the descent to the west. Cross Chemin de la Plaine de Jean des Vignes and make your way back to the starting point.

very easy hike ending with two small hills that add a little interest to the otherwise very flat route.

Ample parking. A little disappointed at the start of the hike as it lacked variety even though the forest is very beautiful, quite a long route, very flat, but once we had tackled the two bumps of the 25 bumps route we had what we wanted in terms of variety! Very happy with this lovely, easy and varied walk.

A very pleasant tour for the whole family. Walked with 1 child (6 years old). Interesting mushrooms all along the route and the passage of the rocks, great! Very few people: 6 in total.

Discover the forest of Fontainebleau. Well-marked trails and very practical visorando information sheet. Superb trail with rocks, heather, moss etc...
Perhaps we should have started at the end and done the walk in the opposite direction, as the route ends with a climb up the two rocks, Guichot and Roche aux Sabots, which are a little steep and slippery for our age (80 and 76), but we did them anyway and were very pleased.

A very pleasant tour for the whole family. We hiked with 2 children (aged 10 and 7) without any problems. On the contrary, they loved the rocky sections.
Hardly anyone there at this time of year. A great time!
However, avoid the heat of summer as some sections are very exposed.

A very nice hike that we shortened a little by taking the 25-moguls path before point 5.
Long, fairly flat sections in a beautiful forest
Not too busy apart from the section, which was very pleasant, on the 25-moguls path, which is a real "motorway", and the car park was also very busy on this Sunday in August.
The only comment is that point 8 is a little too far along the route, after the fork.

A pleasant walk, mostly on forest paths, ending with two climbs, Rocher Guichot and Roche aux Sabots, which are part of the 25-mogul circuit.
Be careful after point 4, and once well on the GR1 (Chemin du Rocher fin), to continue as far as the Chemin de la Mee (point 5), avoiding turning right too soon onto the Chemin de la Mee between plots 145 and 163.

Superb walk.
This was my 1st hike in this forest but certainly not my last. 2 nice climbs at the end with a beautiful view of the 3 Pignons massif at the top. The descent from the Guichot rock face was a bit tricky (slippery rocks) and not very popular at this time of year.
Well done for this well-done report.

The route was repeated the next day with just as much interest. A good hike, accessible to all but with an effort to make at the end if you're not used to it like me!
