In the footsteps of the peasant miners of Guisane
The Briançonnais region had several hundred peasant-mines each operated by 2 to 3 people.
This route lets you access two of these sites in the Guisane valley. Here you can still find remnants of these operations.
It also offers stunning panoramic views of the Guisane valley and the Les Agneaux mountain. You can enjoy this in both summer and winter, with snowshoes (the southern exposure allows for rapid stabilisation of the snowpack).
Circular route of Notre-Dame des Neiges via the village of Les Combes
A short, moderately difficult route culminating at the beautiful Notre-Dame des Neiges chapel (a superb vantage point overlooking Briançon and the Val Durance). This little-known route follows the valley of the Partias nature reserve, then climbs the southern slope of Côte Belle to reach the Chapelle viewpoint.
The ascent is gentle and gradual, but the descent will test your sense of direction. Part of it is off-trail and requires a bit of route-finding.
Ferrières-Haut-Clocher circular via Le Coudray
This walk was created on the initiative of the municipality of Ferrières-Haut-Clocher. It is marked in blue and can be walked in either direction. This easy walk covers the southern part of the municipal area through plains and woods.
