Waypoints

  1. S/E : km 0 - alt. 9 m
  2. 1 : km 0.06 - alt. 8 m - The route to the shores of the Menai Strait is quite convoluted through the fields, but the signage is so good that it is really just a case of following the signs.
  3. 2 : km 1.64 - alt. 1 m - I was a little bit wary of the stepping stones since they were icy, wet and mossy when I crossed in the morning. I found that they gave good traction and weren't as tricky as I thought they might be.
  4. 3 : km 5.99 - alt. 4 m - I did wonder whether the tide ever prevents the route along the shore from being used. The distance you need to go along the shore is only about 10 minutes though. Also there is the alternative footpath that runs parallel to the shore that is further inland.
  5. 4 : km 7.84 - alt. 3 m - Some field hopping starts. As before, the signage is excellent and it is just a case of following the signs.
  6. 5 : km 9.55 - alt. 23 m - I left the Anglesey Coast Path here and took a 10 minute walk up the road to Bynsencyn where there is an excellent cafe at the carpark. It is well worth the trip.
  7. 6 : km 10.41 - alt. 46 m - Return to the carpark at Pen-lon using the same route as used on the outward journey.
  8. S/E : km 20.77 - alt. 8 m
