Waypoints
- S/E : km 0 - alt. 347 m
- 1 : km 0.19 - alt. 347 m - Follow the carpark southwards and cross the dam. Follow the road around until reaching the road out of Dunford Bridge. Turn left and walk up the road.
- 2 : km 1.99 - alt. 396 m - Look out for the gate on the right hand side giving access to the moors (opposite the bridleway on the other side of the road). Go through the gate and follow the obvious wide track. Initially itt goes north west and then turns south east.
- 3 : km 3.52 - alt. 463 m - Just after the 2nd concrete pillar (on the right) and before the track starts descending, take a vague track across moorland towards Wike Head (north-west). Head for the wire fence. Follow the fence eastwards to the trig on Dead Edge End's summit. Cross on to the southern side of the fence (it doesn't really matter since the fence isn't barbed, but the track is generally better on that side).
- 4 : km 5.22 - alt. 483 m - Follow the wire fence. This turns northwards along Withens Edge and then turns southeastwards to Britland Edge Hill. The wire fence is a great handrail. Some of this route is trackless and a bit heavy going. There is no cairn on Britland Edge Hill, but the summit is reasonably obvious since there is a change in direction of the fence from southwest to northwest.
- 5 : km 7.94 - alt. 515 m - Continue following the fence until SE103032. Take a bearing from there to the site of the Liberator wreck at SE107035. The route is trackless to the wreck.
- 6 : km 8.92 - alt. 499 m - Head north from the aircraft wreck until reaching the west-east track that contours along the hillside. Follow the track eastwards. It is an obvious track. Follow the track around the edge of Ramsden Clough until reaching the head of Ruddle Clough.
- 7 : km 11.76 - alt. 430 m - Cross over the stile and follow an obvious track eastwards. There are wooden bridges over the muddiest bits. This intersects with a track from Snailsden Reservoir. Turn right on to this track and head up Snailsden Pike End. Before reaching the very top, take the vague track that heads off southeastwards towards the trig. In bad weather you might want to take a bearing since the top is quite flat.
- 8 : km 12.89 - alt. 464 m - From the trig, head eastwards. There is a better track that contours along the hillside just below the summit. On reaching the north-south farm track, continue dropping down south-eastwards until reaching the stone road from the farm.
- 9 : km 14.44 - alt. 377 m - Follow the stone road. This goes over Harden Reservoir's dam and then up to the road. Follow the road southwards to the Winscar carpark.
- S/E : km 16.09 - alt. 349 m
