- 5 : km 2.91 - alt. 55 m - At the south end of the bridge, turn left onto a pedestrian path heading northeast.
- 6 : km 3.01 - alt. 49 m - At the end of the walkway, turn right following road heading generally east.
- 7 : km 3.11 - alt. 42 m - Just past the Golden Gate Bridge observation area, turn left heading downhill following the sign to Battery East Picnic Area. Pass through the picnic area leaving through a historic Battery (tunnel) to the east.
- 8 : km 3.35 - alt. 37 m - At 'Y' in the pathway, bear left on Battery East Trail heading toward the water. Battery East Trailhead pathway heads to the right.
- 9 : km 3.52 - alt. 27 m - Turn left down stairway path heading to Crissy Field/Fort Point.
- 10 : km 3.64 - alt. 4 m - Turn right at Fort Point, following pathway along the coastline heading generally to the east.

- 13 : km 5.71 - alt. 3 m - Turn right into the Crissy Beach parking lot. Immediately head southeast along a diagonal pathway through a small treelined park to Mason St.

- 17 : km 8.28 - alt. 5 m - After passing San Francisco Sea Scouts Base building on your left, turn left onto the sidewalk following the coastline.
- 18 : km 8.64 - alt. 3 m - Bear right and follow Jefferson Street to Powell Street. You will pass by the Madame Tussauds Wax Museum, plus dozens of eateries and coffee shops. Busy tourist area.
- 19 : km 9.51 - alt. 3 m - At Jefferson and Powell, cross streets heading left toward the Bay Cruises & Ferries Building. Follow the pedestrian walkway in front of Bay Cruises that parallels The Embarcadero heading east southeast.

Busy tourist area that is full of eateries, attractions, whale viewing tours, etc.
