2. 1 : km 0.03 - alt. 722 m - With your back to the Puente Nuevo (bridge) and the Parador on your left head towards the bullring.
3. 2 : km 0.06 - alt. 723 m - Continue up Calle Virgin de la Paz, past the bullring
4. 3 : km 0.74 - alt. 742 m - Turn right on Avenida Victoria
5. 4 : km 0.84 - alt. 743 m - Turn left
6. 5 : km 0.87 - alt. 745 m - Turn left in one way system
7. 6 : km 0.97 - alt. 744 m - Turn right and head up Calle Jerez
8. 7 : km 1.29 - alt. 746 m - At the roundabout take 2nd exit
9. 8 : km 1.62 - alt. 722 m - Turn left on gravel track
10. 9 : km 1.73 - alt. 717 m - Bare left and down hill at the fork in track
11. 10 : km 2.24 - alt. 655 m - At the wide gravel area continue downhill
12. 11 : km 2.31 - alt. 649 m - DON'T take the track on the left or the track that turns right. Head straigh on rough footpath into the pines, following the cliff top. Beware, rocks and sand!
13. 12 : km 2.86 - alt. 589 m - At the bottom of footpath turn right and down the track
14. 13 : km 3.29 - alt. 563 m - Join the track at the bottom of descent, baring right, then first left down track past the houses. BEWARE, track becomes rutted.
15. 14 : km 3.88 - alt. 502 m - Arrive at wide track and turn right, follow to asphalt road
16. 15 : km 4.34 - alt. 491 m - At asphalt road MA-7401, turn left downhill
17. 16 : km 4.72 - alt. 473 m - Take 2nd lane off to the right. Bins at the end and walking path posts on right.
18. 17 : km 5.44 - alt. 465 m - Turn right and cross the railway lines. BEWARE of trains. Level crossing. Then follow the track straight up the hill, following walking sign to Montejaque. NOTE, if you wish to shorten route and miss big climb and technical descent, turn left after crossing railway line and follow the lines down the valley for approx 2 km where you can pick-up the route from point 30 and cross the railway line again
19. 18 : km 8.84 - alt. 743 m - Arrive at farm and follow footpath, through gate and across the field to the Hermitage
20. 19 : km 9.26 - alt. 741 m - At the hermitage descend the zigzig path. Tight corners
21. 20 : km 9.87 - alt. 652 m - At asphalt road MA-8402, turn right and head upto Montejaque village
22. 21 : km 10.31 - alt. 678 m - Turn left at 'La Casita' sign, into the village along Barriada de Santiago. Bars, restaurants and shops in the village.
23. 22 : km 10.76 - alt. 676 m - Just after Unicaja bank at the fork bare left along Calle Manuel Ortega. Following 'Casitas de la Sierra' sign
24. 23 : km 10.79 - alt. 677 m - In a short distance turn 1st left down Calle Cardenal Herrera Oria
25. 24 : km 10.84 - alt. 671 m - Just after 'La Casita' restaurant bare left down narrow lane and follow down to asphalt road. BEWARE, becomes steep and narrow.
26. 25 : km 11.2 - alt. 602 m - Turn right down the road MA-8402
27. 26 : km 12.2 - alt. 530 m - Take 1st left turn down a lane Camino Viejo de Ronda. It's just as you arrive at the first buildings on the road and just after 'Traversia' sign
28. 27 : km 12.64 - alt. 529 m - Where the track splits turn right. See walking sign post with red and white bands. Then climb steeply to ridge
29. 28 : km 13.37 - alt. 635 m - At top of climb, head straight and follow footpath down. BEWARE is rocky and steep in sections. WALK if yo feel unsafe.
30. 29 : km 14.17 - alt. 547 m - Keep left
31. 30 : km 16.2 - alt. 458 m - When you reach track turn right over railway line. BEWARE, level crossing.
32. 31 : km 16.26 - alt. 453 m - Turn right along small track and look for rudimentary bridge over the river made of palets
33. 32 : km 16.5 - alt. 446 m - At palet bridge, cross the river and climb the track through fields to the MA-7401 road
34. 33 : km 16.8 - alt. 463 m - Turn right along the MA-7401 asphalt road
35. 34 : km 17.93 - alt. 470 m - In a little over a Km turn right at the sign for Cueva del Gato. Head down the track to the Hotel. To visit the cave head over the bridge. A great place to swim or marvel at this iconic resurgence cave.
36. 35 : km 18.15 - alt. 437 m - Pass the hotel and head along path beside the river
37. 36 : km 20.16 - alt. 419 m - Keep following the river path climbing and descending
38. 37 : km 21.58 - alt. 422 m - Cross the small stream and follow footpath along the riverbank.
39. 38 : km 21.84 - alt. 417 m - At this point the path becomes rocky and you will need to push your bike up and then down until the path improves
40. 39 : km 27.18 - alt. 396 m - The path descends to a footbridge across the railway. Cross the bridge and follow path, then track, then road along the river.
41. 40 : km 27.82 - alt. 385 m - Pass the train station and then turn next left by water spring and follow lane and pass under railway.
42. 41 : km 27.87 - alt. 389 m - If you would like a drink/snack before the last climb, turn left and Bar alioli is along on the right (open Thurs - Sunday 12.00-20.00) From the underpass head across the road and follow asphalt road heading up and out of the village.
43. 42 : km 28.14 - alt. 407 m - At the junction head left the MA- 8307 asphalt road and climb upto the village of Jimera de Libar MA-8307
44. 43 : km 29.6 - alt. 504 m - On arriving in the village take the 3rd road to the left, opposite the childrens playground and just before the water spring, up Calle Baja
45. 44 : km 29.83 - alt. 537 m - On arriving in the square (Plaza Virgen de la Salud) head to the right hand corner, under the building with the clock and head straight down Calle Martires. The Hotel Imz - Almoraz is down on the right
46. E : km 29.93 - alt. 533 m
