There is also another trestle just like it about 1/2 mi. west and about 200 yards west of that is a flat dirt area next to the train signal and about 30-50 feet off the side of the tracks.

A natural land formation that overlooks the mostly dry river bed of the Arkansas River. It was a landmark used to distinguish between the Mountain route or the Cimarron Route of the Santa Fe Trail. 37.89327, -101.33961 Elev 3063 ft. Peaceful place.
