Waypoints

  1. S/E : km 0 - alt. 14 m
  2. 1 : km 0.13 - alt. 18 m - From the Beachcomber Cafe, follow signs for the coast path that will lead you onto a path to your right. If you go down steps to the National Trust Car Park, you have missed the path.
  3. 2 : km 1.03 - alt. 6 m - Keep following the path along the top of the estuary and go through the kissing gate into the woods
  4. 3 : km 1.29 - alt. 17 m - Go through the second kissing gate and when you reach the road, turn left down the hill
  5. 4 : km 1.75 - alt. 3 m - Keep to the the right of the beach and follow the track along the river. Take care as areas can be slippery when wet.
  6. 5 : km 3.34 - alt. 3 m - Head towards the bridge and cross over it. Cross over the road safely using the pedestrian crossing. You're almost at the half way point!
  7. 6 : km 3.68 - alt. 4 m - Walk on the far side of the lake and you'll be able to see your half way point - Lakeside Cafe but don't take a short cut yet!
  8. 7 : km 3.93 - alt. 4 m - When the footpath meets the main road, follow the path to your left and head towards Lakeside Cafe where you can stop anywhere along the lake for a drink / ice cream / cake.
  9. 8 : km 4.33 - alt. 4 m - When you're ready, follow the path back down to the pedestrian crossing and cross the road.
  10. 9 : km 4.57 - alt. 5 m - Follow the road up along the river until you reach a turning on your left and head down it.
  11. 10 : km 4.87 - alt. 6 m - Take the turning on your left and follow the road down until you reach the car park
  12. 11 : km 5.29 - alt. 5 m - Walk along sandy / shingle path and take in the views, be sure to keep a look out for the treasure box located in a tree on your right!
  13. 12 : km 6.05 - alt. 4 m - You should see the bridge you need to cross if you've got the tide right (it needs to be low). Take care when crossing it as it can be slippery.
  14. 13 : km 6.3 - alt. 2 m - The next part of the walk is where it crosses over from where you walked earlier. You'll now need to head back to the hill you walked down and now walk all the way to the top of it.
  15. 14 : km 6.95 - alt. 54 m - Keep a look out for the footpath across the field - you don't want to miss it as it has a great view!
  16. 15 : km 7.06 - alt. 58 m - Take care as the footpath as you cross the style as it comes out directly onto a road. Walk to your right and then head left down the road.
  17. 16 : km 7.38 - alt. 36 m - At the end of the road, turn right where you will find two pubs if you're in need for a drink.
  18. 17 : km 7.54 - alt. 31 m - Follow the track road down along a narrow path which comes back out onto the main road back to the car park
  19. S/E : km 7.96 - alt. 16 m
