Head SE crossing the South Platte River and then turn SW following the Mary Carter Greenway for 7.5 miles. 39.65165, -105.00815 Elevation: 5,279 ft
  2. 2 : km 5.41 - alt. 1,620 m - Continue straight --- LITTLETON, CO - All Services Turn left and cross the footbridge and follow West Bowles Avenue directly into downtown Littleton.
  3. 3 : km 12 - alt. 1,639 m - After crossing under CO 470, turn sharp left onto C-470 Trail (SSE)
  4. 4 : km 12.11 - alt. 1,637 m - Turn right onto Cottonwood Trail (W).
  5. 5 : km 12.23 - alt. 1,638 m - Keep left on a dirt path leading to the Chatfield State Park's driveway - Perimeter Rd. 39.56537, -105.04431 Elevation: 5,391 ft
  6. 6 : km 12.43 - alt. 1,639 m - Bear R (E) onto Chatfield Interior Trail - a paved sidewalk paralleling the road passing around the west side of Chatfield Reservoir. The campground is on the east side of the lake.

Very popular, make reservations early. 'But you can go to the office to try and get a site. I got in on a “holding site” those held for emergencies. $36 a night. Bathrooms are nice with showers (.50 for 3 minutes), but the water never got warm.' - De '19
