1. S : km 0 - alt. 201 m - General Instructions. If migration is heavy I recommend doing the RMFH area first. More birds are likely to have struck there than anywhere else on the route. Caveat here is a new all glass building at Playhouse Square may also be bad. Still under construction as of Fall 2019. - Euclid Ave
2. 2 : km 0.05 - alt. 201 m - Euclid Ave to Playhouse Square Both sides of the street should be covered but construction may prevent access. Also some sides lack storefronts and/or glass where birds might hit.
3. 3 : km 0.24 - alt. 202 m - Sterling Bldg Small alcove entrance occasionally contains birds.
4. 4 : km 0.6 - alt. 201 m - The Lumen A most appropriate name for this all glass building still under construction as of Fall 2019. Birds have been collected here already by a volunteer with access to the site and the construction supervisor. Potentially another major site at the opposite end of the route from RMFH. Suggest thinking about splitting route if this is a problem.
5. 5 : km 0.82 - alt. 202 m - US Bank Bldg The alley beside the bldg sometimes contains migrants. Wouldn't go farther than the end of the building.
6. 6 : km 1.08 - alt. 201 m - COSE Sometimes birds are found on the balcony of this building but it requires permission and accompaniment to access. Ali Murph had contact information.
7. 7 : km 1.16 - alt. 202 m - Huron Road from Play House Square to Prospect Both sides of the street should be covered but construction may prevent access.
8. 8 : km 1.35 - alt. 203 m - County Admin Bldg The Prospect side of building is where most birds hit. Birds will occasionally be found under the glass Skywalk over Prospect AND in the alley between the County Admin and The 9.
9. 9 : km 1.67 - alt. 203 m - Note on Progressive Field. Originally this is the point where the route would continue along E 9th and go around Progressive Field. This is a long and mostly unproductive part of the route and some of the additional fencing that has been constructed has eliminated access to areas where birds were occasionally found. It can be done but I don't recommend it. If it is done I recommend doing it only once per day.
10. 10 : km 1.78 - alt. 204 m - Huron Road from E 9th to RMFH. Both sides of the street should be covered.
11. 11 : km 1.99 - alt. 205 m - Skywalk and Gateway Garage The skywalk can have birds underneath it. The entrance to the middle stairwell of the garage is under the skywalk. Check the stairwell and each landing for birds.
12. 12 : km 2.06 - alt. 205 m - Gateway garage stairwell by Progressive Field. Check the entrance to the garage and the stairwell and landings. See 'Stairwell' label on map to the right of this number label on map.
13. 13 : km 2.15 - alt. 203 m - Progressive Field Ticket booth and Team Shop. Check the Ticket booth and Team Shop at Progressive Field.
14. 14 : km 2.39 - alt. 203 m - RMFH The 'north' side of RMFH is where most of the birds have struck in the fall of 2019.
15. 15 : km 2.76 - alt. 204 m - Check bushes between bike rack and parking garage.
16. 16 : km 2.8 - alt. 204 m - Jack Garage Stairwell East Check stairwell and each landing for birds.
17. 17 : km 2.87 - alt. 203 m - Suggest going up one stairwell and crossing over the garage roof to the other stairwell.
18. 18 : km 2.91 - alt. 203 m - Jack Garage Stairwell West Check stairwell and each landing for birds. At street level check the glass exterior of the stairrwell.
19. 19 : km 3.24 - alt. 203 m - Birds are occassionally found on East 4th St.
20. 20 : km 3.41 - alt. 203 m - Prospect from Ontario to E 9th. Both sides of Prospect should be checked.
21. E : km 3.59 - alt. 203 m
