  2. 1 : km 0.67 - alt. 37 m - 04 End of West Street - At a cattle grid, continue straight ahead and follow narrow tarmac road to the farm
  3. 2 : km 2.16 - alt. 42 m - 05 Blashenwell Farm - Bare right at the farm entrance and go past the farm buildings, crossing the farm yard and the bridleway entrance is at the rear-right side of the farm yard.
  4. 3 : km 2.29 - alt. 46 m - 06 Bridleway - Follow the rough bridleway up the hill until you come to a metal gate on your left on a stone wall.
  5. 4 : km 2.94 - alt. 115 m - 07 Metal Gate - Go through the metal gate and follow the bridleway through the trees until you come to a tarmac road at Kingston Village.
  6. 5 : km 3.27 - alt. 133 m - 08 Junction - Turn right onto the tarmac road continue along the road in a west direction. The road changes from being under trees to open fields on each side and bares left down a hill to a small parking area on your left with a road for the Encombe Estate.
  7. 6 : km 4.51 - alt. 142 m - 09 Car Park and Junction - Turn left at the car parking area and go straight ahead to a gate with a bridleway sign.
  8. 7 : km 4.54 - alt. 141 m - 10 Gate - Go through the gate and follow the track which bares right up the hill and follow the track to the next gate.
  9. 8 : km 4.99 - alt. 164 m - 11 Gate - Go through the gate and follow the track up the hill towards the grass mound at Swyre Head which is the highest point on the route.
  10. 9 : km 5.83 - alt. 201 m - 12 Swyre Head - Swyre Head is the highest point of the route so a good place to stop to take in the view. Turn right and follow the fence line to the gate.
  11. 10 : km 5.98 - alt. 202 m - 13 Gate - Continue straight ahead at the gate and follow the bridleway along the ridgeline.
  12. 11 : km 6.4 - alt. 193 m - 14 Gate - Continue straight ahead at the gate and follow the bridleway along the ridgeline.
  13. 12 : km 7.02 - alt. 183 m - 15 Gate - Continue straight ahead at the gate and follow the bridleway along the ridgeline.
  14. 13 : km 7.17 - alt. 180 m - 16 Gate - Continue straight ahead at the gate and follow the bridleway along the ridgeline.
  15. 14 : km 7.64 - alt. 174 m - 17 Gate and start of downhill - Continue straight ahead at the gate and follow the bridleway down the hill to the tarmac road.
