Lurgan Lake
Lurgan Park

Description

Start : You can start this walk at any entrance point to Lurgan Park . Here we chose to start on Windsor Avenue (BT67 9BG) at the Waves Park Gates.

(S/E) Enter the park via the Waves Park Gates, turn Left, and walk along Windsor Avenue with the lake on your right-hand side towards the fountain, (you may take a left at the tennis courts and follow the path round to the fountain for a longer walk – boundary).

(1) At the junction, turn right to leave the park by the gate. Follow the park fence with the lake on your right-hand side via the footpath until you reach Brownlow House.

(2) Re-enter the park at the golf club gates. Follow the path along the lake edge and piers. Take uphill left and follow the path round past the demise avenue gate.

Alternatively, at this point take a right and follow the path round into the woodland area past the play park close to the opposite side of the lake – then it loops back round to the fountain.

Alternatively continue to avenue road park gate.

(3) Turn right and continue back to the starting point. (S/E)
