Description

Start : Pirttimäki Outdoor Recreation area and coffee shop car park. 02740 Espoo.

(S/E) From the car park, walk past the Pirttimäki coffee shop on your right-hand side down hill past some tables and BBQ area on your right-hand side.

(1) At the junction with a wooden signpost, start following the blue waymark on your right. You are now walking a part of the Reitti 2000 walk (white and blue sign). Keep following the main path ignoring side walks.

(2) When you reach a junction of two main paths, here you follow the blue sign left. At some stage on your left, you will be able to spot a first little pond (Sulalampi) where you find drop toilets. When you had a look to this pond, carry on the main path towards Hynkanlampi lake.

(3) As you reach a rest area with tables, BBQ, walk right past them until you see the lake. You can walk down to have a swim using a wooden platform here. Be careful the way down to access the lake is quite steep and you will need good shoes.

After enjoying the view and water, from the BBQ area, walk to the main track again and turn left (South) to carry on the walk following the blue waymarker.

(4) At the next main junction, carry straight on and keep going straight following the main path and now the yellow waymark.

At the junction, you can also short-cut the walk and go left straight back to the car park following Pirttimäki coffee sign.

(5) As the path goes downhill, (sign with a down hill skier), you will reach a junction with a path going right to get a short detour to Sorlampi lake past a rest area with drop toilets, BBQ and tables. When you finished enjoying the lake, go back to the main path then turn right.

(6) At the next junction, follow the main track straight as it goes up the hill with the yellow waymark and Pirttimäki coffee sign. From now on just follow the main path and the Pirttimäki coffee sign going up and down hill until you reach waypoint (1) and walk left back to the coffee shop and car park at Pirttimäki. (S/E)
