The start is at the top of the hamlet, at the end of the RM97, the Col de la Lombarde road.
The route is signposted with a few directional signs.
(S/E) Take the end of the blue run ‘La Chevrette’, next to the wooden hut, continuing along the road to the right.
Pass under the Combe Grosse chairlift and arrive at a junction with the blue ‘La Sierra’ run.
(1) Cross the Sierra and continue straight ahead on the ‘La Chevrette’ run.
(2) Before a bend to the right, leave the downhill ski run and turn right onto a short but steep climb. Follow this track, which, after three hairpin bends, returns to the La Chevrette trail.
(3) Follow the La Chevrette for about fifty metres and turn right. Follow the snowshoe trail along a few hairpin bends… to return once more to the level of the downhill ski run.
(4) Continue to the right, heading north-east, moving away from the piste and then towards the Lombarde chairlift.
(5) Pass under the chairlift, then cross the Chevrette one last time to reach the Col de la Lombarde at an altitude of 2,350 metres.
(6) Your efforts are rewarded with a beautiful view over this wide Italian valley.
Head back down the same route, cutting a few corners to enjoy the fresh snow, and return to the car park where you started (S/E).
