Yarra River, Warburton

Start: Car park along Thomas Avenue, Warburton

(S/E) From the war park, facing the river turn right and follow the water on your left-hand side and the Yarra River Walk waymarker.

(1) At the Y-junction, walk up towards the road. As you reach the top go left across the bridge. At the end of the bridge go left down the white ramp to reach back the riverside.

(2) As you reach the riverside turn right and walk across the car park and picnic area. Keep the path along the riverside as you cross a bridge and go up a few steps along the way.

(3) Further on, walk up the steps to reach the bridge. Ignore the Swing Bridge and go straight to carry on along the riverside until you reach a layby and the road.

(4) Safely walk along the pavement and at the road junction keep left to cross the bridge.

(5) At the end of the bridge turn left past the toilets and at the end of the car park keep left to walk back along the riverside to reach the car park and start. (S/E)

Refreshments: Plenty of nice coffee shops, a bakery and ice-cream shop.
