Vanatoarea lui Buteanu from the Transfagarasan road

A gentle, easy walk of around 3½ hours starting from Lake Balea (on the Transfagarasan road) to visit two peaks in the Carpathians, including Romania's highest peak (Vanaturea lui Buteanu). Park just after the tunnel (when arriving from Curtea de Arges) by the lake after the tunnel (note: the car park is very busy).

Hello, contrary to what the presentation text states, the peak shown is not the highest in Romania, but rather Moldoveanu, which rises to 2,544 metres.
