Beautiful scenery, a great day out and if you want lunch by the sea, head to Sugiton cove. It’s wonderful.
The start is on the road between the Faculty of Science and Domaine de Lumigny. You can get there either by car or by bus from Marseille.
(1) Follow Sentier de Découverte and continue on it for about 2.5 km, passing by all the paths heading off to the right and left. (2) After the exit of large bypass, leave the main road and take the path down to the right. Continue until the end. Retrace your steps (3) and take the paved road on the left for 200 metres down the path on the left as far as Sugiton cove.
Head around the cove and follow the trail that overlooks the sea. After heading up a ladder, a somewhat steep descent and a final, slightly tricky section, you will overlook the Morgiou cove but never get to it.
When a path starts on the right, follow it back above the village of Morgiou and continue to follow the path on the right at the next two intersections.
(4) Once back on the Sentier de Découverte, turn left and in the shade of pine trees find the starting point and car park.
