This breathtaking site is criss-crossed by numerous hiking trails. Its landscape is characterised by vast mountain pastures and numerous karst phenomena. A little paradise in the heart of the Julian Alps.

This short walk allows you to enjoy the Velika Planina plateau whilst staying away from the somewhat noisy chairlift route and passing through the mountain chalets. The paths are marked with Red Circles. The vast majority of the route is downhill along easy and very quiet paths.
The chalets are truly spectacular and photogenic, but you must pay close attention to the signs – often in Slovenian – which warn of private property boundaries.

If you want to see the two most beautiful viewpoints of Lake Bled, I recommend this hike.There are several climbs to tackle, but the rewards at the top are well worth it; you’ll be able to admire a magnificent view of the lake.For hiking enthusiasts, this is a great route with well-maintained, shaded and signposted paths.Despite the challenges—which vary from person to person—you can always take a dip in the lake on the way back down. After all that effort, it’s time for some well-deserved relaxation!
