Start : The start here is from the first stairs of Kataraktis which you can find next to the school and paddle field after the tower bell church. It is the old stair for Chorio.
(S) Start to climb Kataraktis just after the school. It is the old donkey path to the top of the city (Chorio).
(1) Instead of continuing on Kataraktis cross the torrent right on the concrete block that brings you to some stairs. You should look up and look for two church bell towers and keep in mind you need to pass both of them on the right when climbing the stairs. Instead of cutting here, you can follow the Gialos - Agios Vassilios path by continuing to follow Kataraktis. After exiting the town with a metallic gate continue straight on the donkey path to Xisos for 1.1 Km.
(2) At Xisos turn sharp left on the bitumen road and at the first right where you can see an old and almost unreadable sign saying San Vasilios turn. Follow the concrete road untill the last house.
(3) At the last house you can see a sign for San Vassilios on the left that follows along the fence of the last house. You need to follow the hiking trail that is marked by red and/or blue paint and a lot of cairns to the beach. (1.8Km or so).
(4) The path takes you just on the top of San Vassilios chapel (a stair can take you there if you want to see it up close and enjoy the view). The only reason this is a hard and not easy walk is that this last way down is a pretty steep scree to join the beach. You need to be extra careful, most of the people who went there once do not want to come back because of it! So be aware (E).
You can take the exact same way to come back, or try to arrange for one of the daily cruise boats to come get you but far easier to do it back and forth!
