In the footsteps of the Count of Montlosier

Park in the car park of the Maison du Parc des Volcans, accessible via the D5.

(S/E) Go to the car park entrance, at the Montlosier hiking sign, and cross the road to find the start of the trail and information board no. 1 on the other side. Follow the trail that runs alongside the D5 on your right, then veer off it. Further on, it crosses the Randanne stream, then passes along the edge of the pond (information sign no. 2). Continue for another 50 metres to reach information sign no. 3.

(1) Turn onto the path that climbs up to the left into the forest. Shortly afterwards, you will see information sign no. 4. Further on, you will come to a crossroads.

(2) Follow the path downhill to the left and you will arrive at the D5 road at information sign no. 5. Cross the road and follow the path opposite for a few metres.

(3) On the right, information sign no. 6 is accessible by climbing a few steps. Return to the path.

(3) Climb the steps opposite and follow the path back to the car park (S/E), keeping to the left of the road and passing a few picnic tables.

Very easy hike. Walking shoes recommended.
