Other walks in the area
From Artemonas to Faros
Hike starting from Artemonas, first following trail number 3 from the ELTA post office in Apollonia, then trail 3a which leads to the monastery of Panagia Chrysopigi (Apofoko beach) before reaching Faros beach via a coastal path.
This is a fairly easy, well-marked hike that passes through terraces lined with olive trees, fields and churches.
The return journey is by bus from Faros; see the timetable online.
If you don't take trail 3a, trail 3 ends at Platis Gialos beach.
From Livadakia (Λιβαδάκια) to Alevrakia (Αλευράκια) - Serifos (Σεριφος)

This is an easy hike, half on an unpaved road and half on a path and rocks. The suggested starting point is near the Coralli campsite on Livadakia beach.
By car, it is best to park in the car park at the port in Livadi.
We recommend the "Anavasi" map of Serifos.
From Chora (χώρα) to Kallitsos (Καλλίτσος) - Serifos (Σεριφος)

Easy hike on a path with a slight elevation gain, beautiful views of the east coast of Serifos.
A map of Serifos (Anavasi) is recommended. Hiking maps are posted near the bus stops in Livadi and Chora.
This is hike no. 1 on the map. To get to the start, from Livadi, take hike no. 1A via the stairs or bus (check timetables, which vary depending on the season). Parking is available near the bus stop in Chora.
You can return on foot via the same route or along the coastal road that runs alongside the beaches, or by bus from Kallitsos (out of season, twice a day at 7.15 a.m. and 3 p.m.)
Pyrgos (πύργος), Sykamia (Σθκαμία)-Panagia (παναγιά) and Serifos (Σεριφος)

This hike can be done as a loop, starting from Panagia (easier for parking). It is possible to reach Pyrgos by road. Descend to Sykamia beach after passing the small village of Galani (No. 6). From there, you can continue along the rocks to reach Skala (No. 6A). The return to Panagia climbs past the Chapel of Agia Barbara (No. 5).
You can also get to the starting point by taking the bus from Livadi or Chora. Out of season, this is the school bus, so check the timetable.
The hiking map is displayed at the bus stops in Livadi and Chora. The "Anavasi" map of Serifos is recommended.
