Description of the walk

Starting point of the hiking tour: Bad St. Peter-Ording railway station

(S/E) We start heading north-west and then turn left. We continue along Eiderstedter Straße. At the fork in the road, we keep to the right.

(1) We have reached the district of Bad and turn left. After the right-hand bend, we turn left towards the pier.

(2) We walk along the long pier over the salt marshes. Here, you can sometimes see deer as well as birds.

(3) At the end of the pier, we make a detour to the beach with the stilt houses before returning along the familiar path. (Alternatively, you can walk north along the beach to the beach bar (5)). Behind the Gosch restaurant, we turn left. At the fork in the road, we keep left. We head north along the salt marshes.

(4) We reach a crossroads and turn left. The path leads back to the beach.

(5) We have reached the beach bar 54° Nord and turn right. We walk north along the North Sea with a view of more stilt houses. Behind the Silbermöwe restaurant, we turn right. In the distance, we can see the pretty Westerheversand lighthouse.

(6) We pass a stilt house with public toilets and head back towards the village. Just before the beach crossing, we turn right and follow the path south.

(7) We make a detour to the left to a viewpoint. Then we continue south.

(4) We reach the crossroads we passed on the way here and turn left onto the beach path. At Dreilanden, we turn right and follow the road back to the station (S/E).

Point 6 in the description says "shortly before the beach crossing". Here, you could add "turn right at the edge of the car park" for extra clarity.
At point 4, the last two instructions, "turn right" and then "right again", are unclear. A sandy path begins next to the road. Why is it not stated that you should take this path? This would have been clearer and more obvious.
Point 8 is completely confusing. I cannot provide any corrections or additional information here, as we took a completely wrong turn and, when we no longer knew where we were, we used Google Maps to find our way to Maleen Knoll.
There were several distinctive landmarks in the forest, such as a playground, signposts and wooden walkways/bridges, which could have been included in the directions instead of just giving directions.
The hike itself was very beautiful, but the description, especially of the points listed above, was very poor.
Point 8 in particular urgently needs to be revised.
