Starting point of the hiking tour: Bad St. Peter-Ording railway station
(S/E) We start heading north-west and then turn left. We continue along Eiderstedter Straße. At the fork in the road, we keep to the right.
(1) We have reached the district of Bad and turn left. After the right-hand bend, we turn left towards the pier.
(2) We walk along the long pier over the salt marshes. Here, you can sometimes see deer as well as birds.
(3) At the end of the pier, we make a detour to the beach with the stilt houses before returning along the familiar path. (Alternatively, you can walk north along the beach to the beach bar (5)). Behind the Gosch restaurant, we turn left. At the fork in the road, we keep left. We head north along the salt marshes.
(4) We reach a crossroads and turn left. The path leads back to the beach.
(5) We have reached the beach bar 54° Nord and turn right. We walk north along the North Sea with a view of more stilt houses. Behind the Silbermöwe restaurant, we turn right. In the distance, we can see the pretty Westerheversand lighthouse.
(6) We pass a stilt house with public toilets and head back towards the village. Just before the beach crossing, we turn right and follow the path south.
(7) We make a detour to the left to a viewpoint. Then we continue south.
(4) We reach the crossroads we passed on the way here and turn left onto the beach path. At Dreilanden, we turn right and follow the road back to the station (S/E).
