Start: Near the Convento de San Antonio
(S/E) The route skirts the north of the village to reach the slopes underneath the Pico de la Miel (a popular rock climbing location).
(1) At the area known as La Encerrada, the path leads directly up the mountainside. It's steep going but not technically difficult.
(2) From the Cancho de los Brezos, it's an easy scramble over the granite rocks to the summit (3) and back, a vertiginous experience with some spectacular views north and south.
The route then heads west along the tops of the range of mountains, over El Pornoso (4) and around the Peña del Águila (5), before dropping down to the Collado del Alfrecho.
(6) Then it's a short climb to the summit of Cancho Gordo (7) and back to the Collado.
From there, it's an easy descent back to the car.(S/E)
