Drive to the free car park at Glenbarrow, located in the centre of Ireland. It is very large and has plenty of space. The start is near the car park entrance and is signposted. Follow the blue trail.
(S/E) With your back to the car park, head towards the river and follow it on your right.
(1) Admire the waterfall: be careful, you have to climb a very high step to continue. Continue along the river.
(2) Keep left at the fork and join a paved path.
(3) Turn left and continue until you reach an intersection.
(4) You can shorten the route by turning left, otherwise turn right and you won't regret it. Continue to the next intersection.
(5) Leave the paved road and head into the forest on the left (still on the Blue trail). You will walk on suspended wooden planks. Continue straight ahead to return to the car park (S/E).
