Covering an area of 12 acres People's park boasts a modern well-equipped children’s playground, toddler area, floodlit tennis courts and bowling green. The Pavillion and outside decking around the edge of the dam offers a safe focal point to view the ducks and swans.

Description of the walk

Start : Ballymena Bowling Club car park, Old Ballymoney Rd, Ballymena (BT43 6LX)

(S/E) Start from the car park and walk South-West towards the tennis court. At the junction, turn left and go past the play parks towards the Pavillion and lake. When you reach the building, turn right (South-West) in the direction of the Football Pitch.

(1) At the next junction, you can go straight ahead or turn left (South-East) to take a detour and follow the path around the “Big Women in the Park” statue. Then turn left once you are back on the main path.

(2) Just before the Ballymoney Road entrance, turn right (North-West) and follow the perimeter path that leads back to the tennis court and the car park. (S/E)
