Arriving from Bessas via the D202 towards the Col de la Serre, after the second bend on the left, park a few dozen metres further on the left. The path is well marked with numerous directional signs.
(S/E) From the car park, take a small road that runs alongside the Ravin des Pommiers. There is little or no traffic on this pleasant road. Follow it until you reach a road that you should take on the right. After a few dozen metres, it arrives at a farmhouse in a place called "La Devéze". At the farmhouse, take a path on the right.
(1) This leads to a field of olive trees, which you must cross. On the other side, take a path on the right that leads into the woods. It climbs gently through the oak trees to reach the Col de la Croix Fabre.
(2) Turn right and walk for about 250 metres until you reach a crossroads where a path branches off to the left.
(3) Take this path on the left, and after a few metres, take a path on the left marked with a symbol representing a dolmen.
First, follow the path on the left overlooking a rocky outcrop to the end of the path. The view stretches from Mont Ventoux behind us to the Ardèche and Cévennes mountains in front of us. Aubenas, the Ardèche and Chassezac gorges, the Berrias plain and its villages, the Serre de Barre... you'll never tire of such a panorama!
(4) Retrace your steps for about a hundred metres. Take a small path on the left leading to the archaeological site of the Carabasse rocks. A short climb and you will discover the ruins of two ancient churches and, as a bonus, a superb view of Mont Ventoux, Barjac and the Alps in the distance.
(5) Retrace your steps to rejoin the path towards the Col de la Serre.
(3) Turn left and follow this well-marked path, which is a series of short ascents and descents. It leads to the Col de la Serre.
(6) Take the road to the right and follow the path opposite at the first bend. Follow it for a while
(7) Then turn onto the second path on the right. The descent begins and the path quickly becomes less pleasant. It has been eroded by rain and stones roll easily underfoot.
(8) At the end of this descent, follow a gully that separates two vineyards. Continue on the path that branches off to the left and immediately joins a larger path.
(9) Take it to the right and follow it to the D202. Follow the latter to the right for about three hundred metres to the starting point. (S/E)
