Park in Éternoz, at the intersection of Rue des Bornes and Rue de l'Épaisse, on the shoulder at the foot of the hiking sign, just before the factory.
Good quality yellow-blue markings, except along the Vau stream.
(S/E) Set off along Rue des Bornes towards Fontaine de la Brue (on your right when facing the intersection). The path forks at the entrance to the woods. Take the small road on the right, which is paved with stones.
(1) At the entrance to the clearing at the source of the Brue, turn right immediately, before the sign, onto the path that quickly disappears into the grass, crossing the small field diagonally (towards Les Chandeliers). You will come to a signpost marked No. 57 and a fork in the path. Take the path on the right.
(2) Join a path at right angles and take it to the left.
(3) You will come to a crossroads marked by a tall signpost and a mountain bike signpost 37. Continue straight ahead on the path opposite (towards "Prêtres réfractaires") for a round trip. At the farm track, continue straight ahead. Retrace your steps.
(3) Turn right.
(4) After a fir tree plantation, at the signpost, turn left towards "Amancey - Éternoz par les Chandeliers". You will pass these tall, massive stone columns (5), evidence of the work of erosion. Stay on the stony path that runs along the ledges to arrive, two hundred metres after the last stone, at an unsecured viewpoint over the wild Lison Gorges, ideal for a snack break.
(6) Turn around.
(1). Cross the clearing, heading straight ahead, and take a look at the Fontaine de la Brue fountain. (Shaded picnic tables).
(7) Return to the gravel road and turn left.
(8) After 150 metres, when the gravel disappears, continue straight ahead along the path, which may seem a little overgrown at first but quickly becomes a well-defined trail. There are no markings, but continue straight ahead until you reach a beautiful fir forest, which you will descend to Lison.
(9) At the Lison, which you will recognise by its gentle murmur, turn left (towards "Sources du Lison") onto this beautiful, cool path that runs alongside it to a wooden footbridge.
(10) At the footbridge, leave the Lison for the Vau stream and continue straight ahead on the path, which doesn't look like much but quickly becomes a superb trail in the hollow of this small wild valley. Old yellow-blue markings can be seen from time to time.
(11) At the second bend, there is a signpost hidden by vegetation; continue climbing to the right on the same path. At the stone path, turn right, passing in front of the factory, and return to the starting point (S/E).
Rocky and slippery paths in places. Sturdy footwear is essential and walking sticks are recommended.
