We’re used to walking about 20 km in all weathers, whether in the Île-de-France region or in the mountains.
A pleasant walk through the hills in fairly nice, cool weather that day, winding through fields and woods.
About 20 km of easy walking and a total elevation gain of around 350 m. That’s a leisurely 6-hour walk with a picnic in the woods with friends. A brilliant day!
To be repeated a little later when the spring flowers are in full bloom.

I did this hike on foot; I hadn’t realised it was intended for horse riders. But then again, why not? I shortened it slightly by starting and finishing at the Collège des Hautiers, making it 17 km.
Otherwise, a very beautiful hike with plenty of elevation gain. To make things more challenging, as I’m preparing for a trek, I was carrying a 15kg rucksack on my shoulders.
The least interesting part, for hikers, is in my opinion the crossing of the Pré du Vivier.
I’d recommend it for those who want a bit of elevation gain.
