From Hérépian, take the D13 towards Saint-Gervais-su-Mare. About 800 m after the Taussac crossroads, turn left onto the D13E12 towards L'Horte. At the stop sign, turn right onto the D22 towards St Gervais sur Mare. At the Col de la Pierre Plantée, turn left towards Rosis. At the Col de Madale, turn right towards Rosis (D180). At the Col des Avels, take the small road on the left towards La Fage for about 300 metres to reach the car park.
(S/E) From the car park, take the track heading east-southeast.
(1) At the fork shortly afterwards, take the left-hand path (red and whiteGR®7markings). Walk east-northeast or east and descend to the Madale road (hiking federation signpost).
(2) Follow the road to the right and cross the hamlet of Madale. The road continues as a track, heading generally south. Pass two old quarries and arrive at a platform in front of the Domaine du Bosc de Madale.
(3) Take the path that climbs to the right into the woods. The slope is steep at first, then levels out towards Sécadou. Follow the cairns to the junction with thePR® trail to the Colombières Gorges.
(4) Follow thePR® to the right (west; yellow markings). Turn right. Walk up the Gorges de Colombières, located below on the left, heading north-northwest. You will reach an intersection (signposted "Site-école de Lafage").
(5) Descend to the left along a path marked with cairns. At the bottom, you will reach the Ruisseau d'Arles stream. Ford the stream (be careful of the water level) to reach the hamlet of La Fage.
(6) Climb a staircase and cross the hamlet (yellow markings, right of way). Leave theGR® trail on the left, pass a mill and cross a bridge over the stream. Continue along the road to the car park (S/E).
