Lago de los Tres from the Rio Eléctrico

Starting from the Rio Eléctrico bridge, this hike leads through the undergrowth with views of the glacier and Fitz Roy to the Poincenot base camp. We then follow the direction of Lago de los Tres via a very steep path which also offers a beautiful view of Fitz Roy. The return is via the same route with a small detour via El Pilar at the end of the trail.

The bus from El Chaten dropped us off at the starting point of the hike.
It was a beautiful hike under blue skies and sunny weather. We saw Fitzroy from every angle.
The last 100 metres of the climb were covered in snow (10 cm thick), which made it more difficult.
It was a shame there were so many people.
We returned via Lago Capri to El Chaten.
The total distance was roughly the same, but there were even more magnificent landscapes.
