Description of the walk

Start: Ottobeuren market square, with several car parks (some subject to charges) available nearby.

The hiking tour is signposted throughout. Simply follow the sign with a yellow dot and the green and blue markings below it.

(S/E) The Glücksplaneten Tour in Ottobeuren starts right in the historic town centre at the market square and first leads to the imposing Ottobeuren Basilica (1), a Baroque masterpiece and popular destination in the Allgäu region. From there, the tour continues to the green Kneipp Activity Park (2), which invites visitors to actively relax with its water basins, playground and quiet areas. The hike then leads through a quiet forest area, where a lovingly designed planet trail offers various stations about the planets in our solar system. Among other things, we pass the observatory (3).
