From Kyra Panagia to Kato Lako - round trip

Start: Park at Kira Panagia.

(S/E) Head towards the small church; the trail starts right behind it.

(1) Continue south; a few dozen meters after the start, the path climbs to the right—but watch out for a fork in the road. The first time, we kept going straight, but that was the wrong path.

(2) Follow the trail until you reach a dirt track.

(3) If you head down to the left, you arrive at a small beach. It is worth a visit, even if only for a short while.

Then, resume the route by walking back up the dirt track until you reach an intersection with another dirt track (as of 2023) that is clearly used by cars.

Turn left and continue to the spot where cars are parked, as the dirt track continuing toward the beach is accessible only on foot.

(4) The final leg of the outward journey is a path through the pine trees that leads directly to the beach.

(5) Explore the beach and the "small cave" (6), then return to Kira Panagia by retracing your steps along the same route.(S/E)

Bring along food and water, and the desire for a nice swim.

The route partly consists of a footpath and largely of a dirt track.

On the northern end of the beach, you will often find people practising nudism.

(6) At the water's edge, there are large stacked rocks forming a sort of small cave; it is wonderful to go inside for a swim.
