Fairy Glen Falls, Rosemarkie

A short "there and back" walk through the aptly named Fairy Glen, near Rosemarkie. Follow the Markie Burn to not one, but two pretty waterfalls hidden away in the most tranquil of settings.

Description of the walk

Start : Fairy Glen car park. (IV10 8UP) Grid ref. NH 73528 57815

(S/E) Starting at the information board within Fairy Glen car park, follow the directional post for ‘Fairy Glen’ (West) onto a footpath along the Markie Burn.

With the burn on your right-hand side to start with, follow the footpath through the woods. The path crosses the burn a couple of times as you move along.

(1) You will pass a small pond approx halfway along.

(2) The waterfalls are found 1.3km in to the woods. Return to Fairy Glen car park via the same route (S/E)
