Description of the walk

Starting from Beddgelert, follow the path leading from the town centre which runs alongside the river.

Continue along this path to Aberglasly Bridge.

At this point, cross the river and continue along the road until you reach a fairly steep path that climbs into the forest.

After a good climb, you’ll reach the summit (Bryn Dû), which offers a superb view of Beddgelert and the mountains surrounding the valley.

If you’re lucky, you’ll see the steam train passing through the valley.

To round off this walk, don’t miss a visit to Gellert the dog’s grave before heading back to the village.
