Park at Crouzet-Migette, at the foot of the church. Yellow-blue markings.
(S/E) Walk downhill with your back to the church and turn right into Rue de l'Auberge. At the inn, turn right to join the D103 road, which you will follow downhill to the left until you reach the village exit.
(1) About thirty metres before the end of the village, look for a sign on the left and take the path downhill (towards Nans-sous-Sainte-Anne, Source du Lison).
(2) At the bottom of the hill, turn right onto a gravel path which quickly joins (200 m) another path, which you will take on the left this time.
(3) Immediately after fording the Château-Renaud stream (you won't get your feet wet), leave the gravel path and take the path climbing up to the right. You will come to a wider gravel path which you will follow downhill to the right. Go through the gate and follow the edge of the woods on your left until you come to a second gate. Climb up to the left onto the beautiful gravel path which will take you to the viewpoint.
(4) You will arrive at a plateau. At its end, the path, which is less clearly marked, climbs up again on the left. Do not take this path, but continue straight ahead towards the edge of the forest along a small track through the tall grass, marked by signposts. At the foot of a pile of stone gathered from fields (dry stone wall), you will see a sign for Nans-sous-Sainte-Anne: head towards Belvédère du Château (the sign is on the other side of the tree) via a small path that climbs steeply to the left. At the top, where a tree lies across the path, look for the sign and turn left, walking along a clearing for a few metres.
(5) A little further on, pay close attention: as you approach the edge of the cliff, the path forks. Despite the yellow-blue cross, take the left-hand path that runs along the cliff: if you miss it, don't panic, you will find yourself at point (7) and then turn left towards Belvédère du Vieux-Château. Fifty metres further on, the path moves away from the edge of the cliffs and you will find the yellow-blue markings again. You will come to a wider path and turn left (signposted Vestige du Vieux Château). You will arrive at the viewpoint overlooking Nans-sous-Sainte-Anne, Mont Mahoux and Creux Billard.
(6) At the viewpoint, turn back, staying on this wide path.
(7) At the crossroads marked by signs, which may be hidden by leaves during the leafy season, turn left towards Sainte-Anne Crouzet-Migette. You will come to a small tarmac road next to a bench, which is perfect for a picnic. Turn left and head down towards the village.
(8) In Sainte-Anne, turn left onto the D229, which you will follow for about 2 km (it is pleasant and quiet) to the Pont du Diable.
(9) Pass in front of the beautiful old Saint-Thiébaud church and continue on.
(10) Cross the bridge and descend under the arches via the steps on the right. A hundred metres after the bridge, turn into the small car park on the left and climb the path. Enter the field through the gate, making sure you close it behind you. Walk along the pile of stone gathered from fields until you reach the second gate, then turn right onto the small road that leads back to Crouzet. In the village, look for the bell tower to find the church.
The route includes cliff-top paths and unsecured viewpoints. The paths are rocky and slippery in places. Sturdy footwear is essential and walking sticks are recommended.
